The Girl by Jimilyn
I see this girl everyday,
and yet she's like a stranger.
Sometimes, I see her smile,
but at times she seems so much sadder.
Her eyes full of utmost longing,
and the hint of the faintest tears.
She's hidden behind that smile.
If only I could see her fears.
At times, she opens her mouth to speak,
but only sad silence comes out.
She's searching for words to say,
but all she can do is stand there and pout.
I want to comfort her, and tell her it's okay.
She should just let out her emotion.
But everytime I reach out my hand,
I only touch my own reflection.
