I watch you so often
talking to your friends
i ask myself this question
do you ever remember when.

When you say you love me
when you say you cared
when you say if i ever need you
you will always be there.

Do you remember those words?
they were spoken by your mouth
at the time i had believed you
as there was no reason for me to doubt.

I try so hard so many times
to show you that i care
looking back at it now
i don't think you ever notice that i was there.

But even though you're ignoring me
and to me you hardly speak
in your very silence
lies hidden the answers to what i seek..
