Parent’s Worst Nightmare by SarahJane
*~*~ this doesn't really have a good flow, but i tried lol *~*~
A parent’s worst nightmare,
A sad day it comes true.
Lonely mother crying,
Filled up with dark gloom.
Her eye’s so sore from crying,
The pain too much to take.
She tries to keep it together,
But just trying seems so fake.
Her daughter’s life was taken,
Her soul was released up above,
She sees the memories in her mind,
And they are anything but fake.
Told her mother she was at a friends,
For a movies and some fun.
Her mother had no idea her daughters
Life was about to come undone.
She was at a party,
Met a guy she thought was sweet.
He told her she was beautiful,
Swept her right off her feet.
Got her blind drunk,
Couldn’t even stand.
She thought he was here,
To lend a helping hand.
He took her to a room,
Stole her innocence,
She tried to fight him off,
But he got annoyed and let a gun off…
Her lightly bruised body
Was found the next day,
Wrapped up in crimson stained blanket,
That bought so much pain.
While her mother slept in bed,
Her daughter’s life was stole,
Some strange man stole her life away,
Not a soul could have known.
To a bright day,
Her mother had awoken.
She had had not a clue,
Her daughter’s life was taken.
It was now 3.30,
Her daughter was late,
This was not at all like her,
She would never make her mother wait.
She walked over to the window,
Look out and did not see,
Any trace of her daughter,
Were could she be?
She heard a soft knock at the door,
Her heart began to race,
As she turned to answer the door.
As her soul began to pace.
A policeman was standing there,
He bowled his head down low,
As tear fell from his eye,
The woman felt so much sorrow.
He had to tell this lady,
Her darling daughter was found dead.
It seems she was shot several times,
Straight in the head.
She fell to the floor,
The pain was too much to take.
She cried so uncontrollable.
For her daughters life God did take.
This happened 3 long years ago,
And the mother still feels so much pain.
It’s something she’ll carry forever,
It’s something that’s filled her with strain.
It’s a parent’s worst nightmare,
When their child does not come home.
It’s a parent’s worst nightmare
When their child dies alone…
