I said you hurt me
When really, I hurt myself
And still, I blame you
The monster of my life.

Maybe I’m just mad,
Mad at myself,
Mad at the world.

Or maybe I’m just afraid,
Afraid of life,
Afraid of the future.

I blame others for my problems
Because it’s easier that facing the truth.

I’m my own problem,
My own fear,
My own monster.
