I look in the mirror
And what do I see
This empty blank face
Staring at me
Tear-stained and broken
Those blue eyes turn black
My vision is blurred
My sight starts to crack
I put on my mask
Before I face anyone
So no one can see
The hurt that's been done
Fake smiles and laughs
Are what you see
I'm far too afraid
To let you see me
This mask is my wall
Hiding away all these tears
The hurt that has built up
For so many years
You put up with my moods
And still nothing you say
Theres no chance in telling
How long you will stay
Ive tried to keep myself but
I'm losing who I used to be
I'm trying to keep that bit inside
This mask is becoming me
I want myself back
To get rid of this mask
But I'm always reminded
Of the hurt in my past
Ive kept this locked up
No-one has known
Now its too much
And my heart has been sewn
Too many to list
The problems build up
Get too hard to handle
Overflowing the cup
So as I look in the mirror
I see me for real
The tear broken face
This pain is too real
