Imperfection by Leah
No one notices at she walks down the halls
Everyone is fooled by her smile, her laugh
People think she has the perfect life
But no one knows what she does when things are not right
She’ll run to her room, and quickly lock the door
Under her mattress lies a deadly secret
A stash of razors, for her imperfection
This girl quickly grabs one and holds it
In between her delicate fingers
And she unsteadily pushed it into her wrist and dragged
She just stared at her scars, remembering everything that went wrong
Usually her mother would knock on the door
She would pull down her sleeve and wipe the glistening tears from her eyes
Her mother just asked what you were doing with the door locked
This poor teen just answered nothing mom, just getting ready for tomorrow
When she goes into school the next day
This girl puts on her fake smile, and laughs with her so called friends
Even though her laughs are fake, and her whole life is a lie
For no one knows what lies beneath the surface of this perfect girl
