We were heading in the right direction
until he made a resurrection
and changed my world to what it is today
now with a broken heart and tears i pay.
Tonight when he held you close you seemed so high
you never notice the tears in my eyes
i thought you were an angel sent from above
i thought i had finally found my true love.
but now i realize my thoughts were merely dreams
he means the world to you now it seems
all that i was to you is now in the past
for in the dark recess of your mind I'm now cast.
But always remember in my heart you'll forever dwell
this is a fact that no one can dispel
and through all your pains and all your tears
the power of my love will silently calm your fears...
