Winter by Jennifer C. Zoller

Winter
Airy celestial wings of an angel
Cardinal world filled with gossamer light;
Spidery wind in the dazzling moonbeams
Chill glancing sunshine - sketches in white.
Flowery snowflakes, filigree silver
Feathery arches gilded with gold;
Candles of music flickering scarlet,
Crystals of sunlight deliciously cold!
Curls in the mist, silky shades in the evening;
Icicle dream of a moon's frosty glow,
Sparkling raindrops, calm dancing stardust
Glittering cloud poems - gift of the snow.
Palace of diamonds, chiffon in the stillness;
Quilted fleece cherries tactless and pure
Ecstasy sleigh bells glassy and sylvan -
Nymph gleaming paradise, listless allure.
Halcyon eyelet wind-drift fantasia;
Sashay 'mid the stars on a dream sugar night!
Dizzy soft mistrals skip to the springtime,
And whispers of Winter giggle delight...
