What Am I? by Rebecca L. Allen

The sun rises at dawn and shines on my face.
I see a hummingbird suspended in air in colors of yellow and blue.
The rain falls, and I have not a worry
but to remain where I am and protect those in my care.
I welcome the company of others and enjoy the laughter of children.
Trees protect me from the winds of winter and keep me cool in the summer. Occasionally, I moan and groan,
but to those I love, I am called...........home.
