Standing Alone by Leutissuer V. Weston

A tree so brown and ugly,
And yet you stand alone
Sometimes you can overlook things,
And yet you stand alone.
People, animals,
and cars surround you,
And yet you stand alone
In a world that's hot and cold,
And yet you stand alone.
On the inside you maybe ugly and worn out
And yet you bloom into something beautiful,
and of course you still stand alone.
Others may stare while other may laugh
Things might grow and yet things will die
People may judge,
and happiness may grow
Yet when spring comes,
you bloom into something beautiful;
while in winter you lose all your leaves,
But as you stand watching
and waiting you stand alone.
