Unveiled (The Thief) by T A Sykes

Leave!
Depart!
Be gone!
Your presence is not wanted.
Nor is it needed.
Did you think your candy coated poison
Would go undetected?
Did you not know your innocent guise
Would be revealed?

It?s mine!
My Tenure!
My Treasure!
Get your own- Charlatan!
You?ve been made.
Did you think you could steal it
And never return?
Did you not know that I would come looking
And sequester it?

Imp!
Fiend!
Succubus!
Your angelic beauty and prose give way
To what you truly are.
Did you think I would not see past
Your shallow being?
Did you not know that I could always see you
...For what you are?

Thief!
Intruder!
Trespasser!
You?ve been found out.
You?ve been unveiled.
And I shall reveal what you are inside.
Not the beauty you portray,
But an ugly monster with glaring green eyes.
You can?t steal it.
I won?t let you take it.
