Of all the things I ever wrote
What I liked the most were the little notes.
Thrown together with little care,
Just enough so you'd think of me here.

Sometimes it was just a little smile :)
From my heart to yours across the miles.
Or something funny when you were a grouch,
Since I couldn't be next to you on the couch.

One of my favorites was sending my heart <3
So you'd know how I hated being apart.
If I could only get you alone,
I'd throw the remote out and unplug the phone.

I'd look through all those little notes
And show you all the things I wrote.
Your heart would know it was meant to be
And you'd be where you should.... with me.

Oh well... I guess that'll never be.
There's someone standing in for me.
I hope she sends you notes from there
And lets you know how much she cares.

I hope her notes can make you smile
And maybe warm your heart awhile.
I wonder if she's even seen
How much those little notes can mean.

I miss them so... those little notes,
The ones with love tucked in, I wrote.
I guess I miss you more... it's true.
Baby, all my notes were just for you.
