I am sending this to my hero,
a man who I once knew.
Happy Father's Day, Daddy,
this is my gift to you.
I just decided to write you
and tell you how it's been,
to hear the sweet melody
of you singing in the wind.
Sometimes I see you in the clouds
smiling down at me.
It brings back all the memories
of the way it used to be.
I really miss those days,
the days when you were here.
I send to you this letter,
and with it I send a tear.
I send one tear for the times we've shared,
and the times that passed away...
