With the touch of your hand upon my beating heart
I can picture a happy ending from the very start
But to believe we will last is when I begin to fall
I do not have a faith in which I can call

All my hopes and dreams are just that- as they are
It's like wishing all your life upon a falling star
Wish, wish, and wish with all your heart and soul
It will never happen; you just must let it go

But I will make a promise, my promise I will try
Please help me to get through it, catch my tears as I cry
I have forgotten how to wish and have faith in hopes and dreams
Because I figured out nothing is ever as it seems

But with you I want to believe in a "happily ever after"
With a life filled with love, joy, happiness, and laughter

To be able to wake in the morning in arms that belong to you

To live in an apartment or a house in a good 'hood' or a bad
I can make it with you I do believe I can be glad
Maybe years from now it will happen maybe we'll be together
I stopped believing in this word but you make me want 'forever'

When your lips touch mine I feel explosions in my heart
You make me feel so good inside I never wanna be apart
And when our bodies lie so close with your arms wrapped around me
