The True Meaning by Monroe

We’ll I was walking through the clouds,
And he came to me, with both arms stretched out,
It all happened so quickly, in the blink of an eye,
All of a sudden I had wings and horns, both at one time,
He asked what had I done, was I happy with my life,
I said only once , I wish I were still alive,
He asked me what for, and why I had this wish,
Is it so you can work, and not spend time with your kids,
So you can go and drink and have all sorts of fun,
You see there my friend, what you have done,
You had a family, at home all the time,
You were making the money, but dididn't take the time,
All of a sudden one of my wings vanished, and the horns stayed,
I became frightened, and listened to what he had to say,
Your work is not important, but the love you have for another,
Your family sat at home, while you where out drinking,
Your family was missing you, while you where out working,
Now do you understand, you can not take it with you,
It stays down on Earth, now what shall I do,
I told him I understood, I truly did,
I needed to take time, and spend it with my kids,
Love their mother, and take time off,
All of a sudden, they both where gone,
Wings and horns, both not there,
And me sitting there, in an old wheelchair,
I had been in acoma, for five whole days,
There stood my kids and their mother, staring in pain,
When I opened my eyes, I knew it wasn't a dream,
I told them I loved them, and I knew they still loved me.
