Running To Nowhere by Jaymo

"what were you thinking, you stupid little -----"

it wasn't my fault,but they don't listen,

they think it was and keep on yelling and threatening,

I can't take it so I run, I run to somewhere far away,

they call me back but my feet wont stop,

I won't turn back,not now or ever, I have to keep on,

tears pour down my face and my hair falls down around my eyes,

I can't turn back,never again,I must keep running,

my feet hit the ground,its all I hear,the pounding in my ears,

my eyes are burning and I have an urge to scream,

but, I just want to run and keep running until I can't breathe,

so I do, I run and cry and scream
I scream till I can scream no more,

but I keep moving, my feet keep going, the destination unknown,

I have never went so far away before,never felt this way,

this time is the first and last time I will run,

when I get where I'm going I won't be coming back, I won't,

I just don't know where "there" is, I don't know where I"m heading,

but I when I get there I will know right away,

I can't see where I'm heading, everything is blurry,

my feet are beginning to stumble, unsure of the ground I run on,

I have no clue where I've run to, I am completely lost,

but I have always been lost in one sense or another,so I'm not scared,

then I trip and fall, it is then that I look up and realize,

the place I've fallen is unfamiliar, yet I seem to know it,

I've never been here before, but looking around I know I'm not lost,

I see people who I have known before,but not seen in years,

I realize I have reached where I was running to,

I am fine here, and I shall never return again,

I'm happier here then I've been in a long time
