Remembrance Day by Alexis!
Remembrance of the bloody flow,
between the crosses, row on row,
they mark our place; and in the sky,
vultures, still singing their deafening cry.
scarce heard amid the gun’s plea.
in flanders’s fields heroes pay the fee.
we are the dead. short days ago
we lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
loved and were loved, and now we loll.
in flanders fields love pays this toll.
take up our clash with the foe:
to you from failing hands we throw.
the torch is yours, to hold it high.
in flanders fields bravery is first to die.
