It never goes away
It always partly stays
Even after today
Even after years
It never leaves
An emptiness inside
Impossible to describe
To those who haven’t felt it
And those who have
Connected so profoundly
Yet they are so lonely
They feel like it’s theirs alone
But it’s happened before
They are not alone
Pain is the bond
Between the victims
Of carelessness
Of thoughtlessness
Of hopelessness
Of heartlessness
Of all the world
And all its problems
