I'm lying on the door mat, searching for a reason to wake up in the morning.
None so far.
The postman never comes,
Letters of hope get lost in the breeze,
Long lost friends stay lost.
Stray dogs look for food in litter bins,
while the rich worship a king with false teeth.
The elderly look to the future while the youth search for the past they never had.
Time flies over splint milk,
though people still wage wars from apologizes.
Throwing darts at a blank board,
aiming for heights we'll never reach.
A step closer to our dreams makes the spring board harder to face.
Diving for a door thats bared shut,
with our bed inside.
Why wake up to someone wiping their feet on you, than wake up at all?
