Now when you're feeling down think of this
you'll realize that your life is bliss
In a far away world across the Atlantic sea
lives a little sweet girl in another country
and every day she rises so at four she can slip out the door
she won't be back till nine tonight
all this work for a nine year old gives her mother a fright
but her family is to poor
so every morning she must go through that door
see long ago the girl got sick
with no money to keep her alive her family had to think quick
so they borrowed the money from an evil brick man
now this girl is at the mercy of his hand
she works for him every single day for this is her only way to pay
the man is mean he gives her no rest,
if she tries to take one he could whip her across the chest
it will take years to pay this debt
of 600 bills in their countries currency
money which might never be had by her family
so for now they are left in sorrow
but there is one more thing that you should know
if their currency was converted to the u.s. dollar it would equal $13.52
so did that surprise you?
Yep less than $20 could relive this family's strife
and give that little girl a chance at a real life
but if you still look at your parents and think "no one is more mean"
think of this scene
a women just wanted to drive home from work
but something terrible went wrong involving her shirt
her sleeve slipped down
and a man saw her wrist
even though she grabbed it up quick
so that day she was stoned
right there in the dirt
i can not imagine how much it hurt
spit on and beat
and kicked with mean men's feet
these things happen everyday
in countries not so far away
so now i ask of people in nicer countries today
wouldn't you like to stay?
