Girl For Sale by Tia
She stands on the street,
Her heels on her feet.
Her make-up and skimpy clothes on,
Knowing she’ll be working till dawn.
She’s the girl for sale.
She sees a guy, he seems pretty hot.
She gets in his car and rides to the spot.
She goes to the spot, knowing he’s glad.
But deep down inside, she’s depressingly sad.
She’s the girl for sale.
She sits there as she takes his turn.
Will she get smart and ever learn?
“It’s worth the money. She tells herself.
Even though she is harming her health.
She’s the girl for sale.
She gets out, relieved she’s alive.
This could have gone wrong and took a nosedive.
He seemed really nice, when he speaks.
But she knows this world is full of freaks.
She’s the girl for sale.
She finds the final guy of the night.
Glad that there hasn’t been a fight.
She gets in his car, along for the ride.
Not knowing tonight that she would die.
She’s the girl for sale.
She tried to shout,
He just knocked her out.
He threw her in an ice cold lake,
Knowing she was wide awake.
She’s the girl left for dead.
If only she knew about being loved,
And not about being crushed and shoved.
Maybe she would have stayed off meth,
And maybe even avoided death.
She’s the girl forgotten.
So all you girls, who do this deed,
Hopefully you will see.
This isn’t how your life should be
So listen to me.
She used to be the girl for sale,
Now she is just forgotten.
And if your future turned like this…
That would just be rotten.
BE THE GIRL THAT’S CHERISHED!
