I’m tired of being discouraged
People saying I can’t do what I want to do
Everyone is crushing my dreams
Asking “how will you push through?�
Father can you hear me?
I’m tired of being brought down
Why is it when I fight my hardest?
I still seem to frown

No one has faith in me
Being an author is what I want to do
But everyone has lost faith Lord
All except for me and you
I keep my hopes and dreams alive
Good things will happen for me now
But I know I can’t make it alone
I need your help somehow

Father can you hear me?
It’s your name I call
I need your hand to lift me up
Everyone’s words are making me fall
I don’t understand why they put me down like that
I really think it’s a shame
Oh father can you hear me?
I’m calling on your name!

Send me a sign Lord
If you hear me at all
Let me know if I should pursue with my dream
Or should I no longer stand tall
I’m tired of being hurt by them
I’m sick of their rude games
But I know my Jesus is by my side
I’ll forget about them lames

I’m so very confused
With all these painful words I’m hearing
My heart is oh so bruised
I rarely ever pray for myself
I don’t even think once a month
But father I just need you
Could you help me just this once?

Can you help me not feel used?
My heart is torn and bleeding
I feel mentally abused
Are you listening father?
I think I feel your presence
You’re the only one who can work your magic
I just need your guidance
