A Living Cell by Kara

Note all the blood stains, spaltered on wall
And the dusty mud prints, of every place I walk

The hard cold bars, rusting shut my door
But please ignore the mess, lying on the floor

Here's my favourite poster, covering the crack
In which I've always used to store away my stash

There isn't much of a view, just a dead tree to the left
But this window is made of shatterproof glass

The room is rather small, and gets a little cold at night
But I find you can keep warm if you pull the bedsheets tight

Yes, this bed's a little hard, there's a supporting concrete slab
Oh I agree with that. The decorating is a little drab

The bathroom is a shared one, down the hall and to the right
But it's preferred if you use it only in daylight

Be careful of the neighbours, but I'm sure you'll just be fine
Why'd you say you're moving? Oh yes, I'm sure they won't decline

You won't get your own key. The owners will lock up
But I reassure you, they certainly know their stuff

Well if there's no other questions, just give me a shout
I have a pistol in my pocket, and I really must check out
