Midnight On The Water by Bill Mcwilliams
As I gaze up in the sky
I know that things are right
The handiwork of God
Is evident tonight.
The clouds are rolling gently
Across the harvest moon
I know that summer's ending
and frost is coming soon.
The Great Horned Owl flies quietly by
to see what he can find
A mouse creeps softly in the grass
And now the Owl will dine.
I hear the drake call to his mate
As he glides across the water
There's movement near the shoreline
I think it is an otter.
I row the little boat to shore
And walk across the sod
As I look upon his handiwork
I know there is a God.
