I Laughed When I Got Shot by Hina

Clatter

She did it, She made me Hurt
She made me cry
She was the slayer, of my soul
I thought I'd die

At the age of 8, something happened to me
She took me to a place, I wanted to flee
This place you see, had weapons galore,
The needles, the guns, it’ll kill my soul

Mother, is this what you are?
IS this some cult, will this take me far?
I bargained and plead, for someone to please
Rescue me from this danger
And set me free

I saw a big man, who greeted my mother
He said “finally, it should not take any longer�
For what will society think, if she doesn't get shot
She will be cursed, she won’t be sought
Mom was obsessed, to shoot me that day
It would have been easier
Had I been prepared
The purity she wanted, for me to have
Was about to kill me, they began to clap

The cult you see, had made me blink
It made me cautious, it made me think
My mother, what had been wrong with her?
I thought she had loved me,
Guess I wasn’t sure

The big man you see, sat me down on a chair
With tears in my eyes, I gasped for air
This was the day
Mom had waited for
To see me suffer
So Insecure
Mother, my mother,
What had I done so wrong
Mom screamed to shut me up
And said “This journey won’t be long�

It was about to happen
That’s when I knew,
When she gave him the finger
The silence, the cue

I prayed to my god,
Asked him to forgive her,
And heard the shot with my ear
I had to surrender
The blood, the wound,
I began to feel woozy
The torture the pain
How the hell could she?

For I thought my life
Had ended with that shot
I began to cry,
Had I only fought

My mom picked me up,
Carried me in her arms
And took me to the car,
Where my burial began

She shoved me to the backseat
And said a few words
That changed my life
I was a happier girl

“You’re such a strong girl,
Had you only not had fear
You wouldn’t have bled so much
When they pierced your ear…�
