Decapitation Of The Finger by Christopher Cole

The blade was sharp,
the finger was soft,
the slip of the blade,
cut the finger off.

The finger fell,
straight to the ground,
the finger grew legs,
and ran around.

The finger grew,
and lived on,
it learned to eat,
and talk on the phone.

The blade was mad,
cause he meant to kill,
he looked at the finger and said,
are you for real.

The finger grew teeth,
and arms and ears,
then ran off,
to find its peers.

The finger felt lonely,
with no other fingers around,
so he packed his stuff,
and left town.

The boy that lost the finger,
was mad as can be,
he looked and said to his self,
how could my finger leave me.

The blade searched and searched,
all over the city,
looking for the finger,
like a little meany.

The finger got bored,
and the blade did too,
finally they saw each other,
and the blade said, "I'm sorry for what I did to you".

The finger and blade went back home,
cause they wanted it to be the same again,
the blade put him self up,
and the finger jumped back on the kid.
