We were friends at the age of two,
Best friends by the age of eight,
It was always me and you,
Coming home from school late.

When I was worried,
You would comfort me,
When I was sad,
Happy you would make me be.

We said we would make,
Our friendship last,
But separate schools,
Took that away so fast.

I haven't seen you,
In over a year,
Not seeing you again,
To my eye brings a tear.

But your back in town,
And I sure am glad,
But when you leave,
Once again I'll be so sad.
