Something Just For Her by Pete
Something just for her
She is an extraordinary girl
Stuck in mediocrity
This tiny world is closing in around her
Once she’s out of this town
Everything, for her, will be alright
When she looks into the mirror
She sees somebody she hates
If someone would buy it
She would sell herself completely
One thing that keeps her going is knowing
There’s something out there
Something just waiting to be had
There’s something just for her
Because hearts don’t beat the same
Even angels feel homesick
She tries to fill the void
With clubs, meetings and the problems of others
Something happened to her trust
Because I can’t see it
She tries to fill the void
With choir, singing groups and classes
Emotion is disappearing, feelings are becoming less
I wonder if she dreams with indifference
She tries to fill the void
By consuming herself with everything around her
Like the lobby of a hotel
She’s trying to fill something that is already too cluttered
A skipping CD going through the movements
In the mirror she sees a reflection she’d like to sell
To anyone willing to buy
He sees an extraordinary soul
Wrapped up in something you can’t see
Definitely not mediocrity
I'd rather you DID NOT vote. Thanks.
