My Savior, My Angel by ♥Angela♥

It was late at night
While I lay sleeping in my bed
That I felt someone sit down
Close beside my head

I opened my eyes
But no one I could see
So I closed them again
But it would not let me be

Cause now I felt a hand
Place itself upon my arm
So again I opened my eyes
And knew at once there was no harm

For although I could not see her
The lavender I could smell
And I knew that grandma came to visit
To let me know that all will be well

You see, not long after she passed
Troubles arose in my life
So grandma came to visit
To help me through the strife

So she stayed by my side
Guiding me through each day
And hugging me close each night
While in my bed I lay

It seemed she was the only one
Who really understood
And she gave me the comfort
That no one else could

And when the day came
For her to leave me once again
I was a whole lot stronger
For within me her spirit did remain

So now, whenever I smell lavender
Or see the color purple
I remember my grandma
My Savior, My Angel


Thank you Grandma...... I still feel you close to me every day
and I know that you and Grandpa are happily dancing in the clouds.

And YES...... this really happened to me!!!
