My Friend by *._DrEaM3R*._

I had a friend
who was sweet and kind
She was always nice to everyone
Even the ones left behind

I only knew her for three years
But that was good enough
One day I found out she had cancer
And it got really tough

I treated her the same
Like everyone else did
She was always fun to be with
And she was a really smart kid

On February 3,2003
I heard from my friends that she died
When the counselor told my classmates
Most of us cried and cried

They held her funeral
Four days after she died
The whole 5th grade coulda' gone
But some didn't feel alright

I went to her funeral
And so did my friends
They all said goodbye to her
And that none of our friendships would ever end

It's been 2 years now
And we miss her so much
But she's our guardian angel
She's still watching over us
