Everyday everyone sees you seeming happy,
but only glimpsing the pain that's inside,
The doorway between is on your arm,
soft to hold but covered in harm,
Some people prefer other people,
but some prefer animals,
Some like to stay with their head in the clouds,
Some like to stay in a human crowd.
My own pains taught me to see with my mind,
Replacing my eyes which are but halfway blind,
In your eyes I see a sharp-sting pain,
Caused by torture, time and time again.

the accustomed pain behind those eyes,
