when i told you i loved you our friendship was put to the test
although my heart is breaking I'm not angry at you
for i should be grateful for the friendship we have as two

I'm not saying i had high hopes but i needed to tell u how i feel
because day by day they were getting stronger and slowly becoming more real
i couldn't keep it locked up in my heart without letting you know
cause for how long i tried to ignore it but i couldn't let go

my heart opened up to you and u became my best friend
I'm definitely not gonna let go of our friendship even in the end
but now i see you differently even though you may not see the same
but you always manage to bring a smile to my face even if i only hear your name

every love song i hear makes me think of you
as i sing to the lyrics that sing for love too
every romance i see makes me wish i had the too
so i turn away escaping the thoughts of you

I'm not gonna say its easy cause i feel weird every time i see your face
i wish i hadn't said anything and that i was in another place
I'm not gonna deny that its OK being your friend cause i wish we had more
but your friendship is still important and definitely something i adore
