Today we live in a world that's filled with such great sorrow,
People not even sure if they'll even make it through tomorrow!
So confused without direction, their life just seems so lost,
Searching to find the answers, no matter at what the cost!
Children growing up today, in a world so filled with lust,
Violence all around them, not knowing who they can trust?
Death just waiting to take them from this worldly life we know,
Heaven and hell fighting daily, over who will get their soul!
Could it be, we're walking in darkness with blindness in our eyes?
Caught up so much in the fleshly desire, to deaf to hear their cries?
Where there's someone's son or daughter, caught in such frustration,
Ready for death to bring them escape, from their hopeless desperation!
It's time to look in the mirror, and look at our sinful ways?
Look deep inside and search ourselves, how do we live each day?
For our children are always watching, and they learn from what they see,
So ask yourself this question?
How will your children turn out to be?
Will they reach out to those who are hurting, to lend them a helping hand?
Will they feed the poor? Pray for the sick?
or have a heart that understands?
When we teach our children to love one another,
no matter how different they are,
Then they will learn to reach,
learn how to teach,
and in life they will go very far!
